Power Song Competition: Terms and Conditions

  1. These are the contest rules ("Rules") and apply to The Youth Music Power Song Competition unless otherwise expressly stated. By entering this Competition, entrants agree to be bound by these Rules. The Competition is organised by Youth Music, 5th Floor, One America St, London, SE1 0NE
  2. Winners will be selected on merit. The decision by Youth Music is final and no correspondence will be entered into with regard to the selection process.
  3. This competition is only open to individuals that are UK residents (this includes the Channel Islands).
  4. Youth Music does not accept any responsibility for late or lost entries in any circumstances.
  5. Employees of Youth Music are not eligible to enter the Competition.
  6. Youth Music reserves the right to verify the eligibility of all entrants. Additional evidence may be required in order to verify an entrant’s identity. This may include a valid passport or driving licence.
  7. Entrants must supply full contact details as required, and comply with all rules to be eligible for the prize. No responsibility is accepted for ineligible entries.
  8. Youth Music will only ever use your personal details for the purposes of administering this competition and other competitions or information on similar music, and will not publish them or provide them to anyone without your permission.   9. By entering the Competition, you hereby warrant that all information submitted by you is true, current and complete.
  10. By entering this contest you agree to grant Youth Music a licence to publish your entry across all media and online platforms under their control. This licence does not affect your moral rights and you will retain full rights.
  11. Youth Music reserves the right to disqualify any entrant if it has reasonable grounds to believe the entrant has breached any of these terms and conditions.
  12. In the event that any entrant is disqualified from the Competition, Youth Music may decide whether a replacement contestant should be selected. In this event, further entrants will be selected on the same criteria as the original entrant and will be subject to these Rules.
  13. Only one entry per person is allowed.
  14. Entrants should note that unless stated otherwise, Youth Music does not accept responsibility for the return of any Competition entries.
  15. Prize winners will be notified in the manner and within the time specified on the Competition Notice. Return of any prize notification as undeliverable or failure to reply as specified in the notification within the time stated therein may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner.
  16. Prizes are non-transferable. The prize(s) must be taken as stated and cannot be deferred. There will be no cash alternatives.
  17. Youth Music cannot accept any responsibility for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrant entering the contest or as a result of accepting any prize.
  18. Winners may be requested to take part in promotional activities. Youth Music reserves the right to use the names of winners, their photographs and audio and/or visual recordings of them in any publicity.
  19. Any personal data relating to entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation by the Competition partners and will not be disclosed to a third party without the individual’s prior consent.
  20. Entries must not contain defamatory or obscene material.
  21. Youth Music will select the winners and a reserve list on the last day of each month. Winners will be contacted personally by phone and by email.
  22. Entrants will be deemed to have accepted these rules and to agree to be bound by them when entering this competition.
  23. The panel's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  24. The winners will be contacted within two weeks of selection. If we are unable to contact you for 3 days your prize will be deemed to be forfeited and Youth Music reserves the right to offer the prize to the runner up on the reserve list.
  25. The winners may be required to participate in publicity arranged by Youth Music and its partners and affiliates, and consents to allowing radio, photographs, film and TV promotional tours new media exploitation and their name to be published on the youth music website and websites of its affiliates and otherwise.
  26. The prize(s) must be taken as stated and cannot be exchanged or altered in any way. In the unlikely event of circumstances beyond Youth Music's control resulting in the events or performances being cancelled or postponed, Youth Music reserves the right to change the date of the event or to substitute the prize with one of equal or greater value.
  27. These rules are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
  28. Youth Music reserves the right to cancel this competition at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion, and if circumstances arise outside of its control
