Youth Dance England are staging a FREE silent disco at The Scoop at More London on 14 February as part of their 'I Love to Dance' campaign.
So grab your partner or a few friends/family members/pets and head down to City Hall in central London to strut your stuff!
Youth Dance England is the national organisation that champions and promotes dance for all children and young people and are holding this exciting event from 12pm - 2pm this Valentine's Day as part of its bid to turn 14 February into 'I Love to Dance Day'.
'I Love to Dance' will come to life as hundreds of young people and special guests from the dance world don wireless headphones and dance the hours away to the sound of music played by two guest DJs from silent disco specialists, SilentArena.
The Scoop at More London is next to City Hall, SE1 and is a popular outdoor sunken amphitheatre situated by the river with Tower Bridge as its backdrop.
'I Love to Dance' launched last Monday 18 January on Facebook with a drive to increase participation in dance activity by encouraging young people from across the country to set up their own events or activity on, or close to, 14 February. The Facebook fan page acts as a central hub where young people can promote, film and share their activities and events.
'I Love to Dance' launched with a viral film featuring leading figures from the dance world including YDE Patrons Arlene Phillips, Carlos Acosta and Kymberlee Jay, alongside a diverse group of young people. Through the spread of the viral film, the Facebook fan page beat expectations by attracting over 1,000 fans within the first three days from launch.
